Collection: GEORGE HUTTON

George Hutton (1997) is a British photographer whose work is rooted in the quiet rhythms of his hometown Whitby, a small seaside community on the North Sea. Originally trained in Fashion Communication at Central Saint Martins, he found his way into photography through the darkroom, where the process of shooting, developing and printing film shaped his sensitivity to slowness, honesty and observation. Hutton’s images reveal beauty in the understated — fishing boats, rural rituals, local games like Quoits, and the everyday poetry of people and landscapes often overlooked.
Drawing from nature and from the intimacy of familiar places, his practice foregrounds calm, clarity and a deep regard for community. Whether documenting tradition, labour or stillness, Hutton creates photographs that feel grounded, modest and quietly emotional. His work invites viewers to look again — to notice what is small, enduring and worth preserving.
