Sanna Charles (1979) is a photographer, visual artist and musician from London, UK. A chronic outsider searching for community. In an effort to understand the world a little better she uses photography and video as a tool to engage with people and the environment. She started her career as a live music photographer for NME, Terrorizer and Iron Fist, and in 2013 she released with her band S&M the photobook and EP ‘sha•man’ and in 2015 she published her photobook God Listens to Slayer, both with Ditto Press (now Ditto London). Her work has been featured in the British Journal of Photography, Vice, Dazed & Confused, and she currently lives and teaches in Norway.
