Duy Nguyen, also known as Vitaboy, is an image-maker based in Oslo. Duy was born in Malaysia to Vietnamese parents. He migrated to Norway at the age of 4 with his parents and spent majority of his childhood on a small island on the west-coast of Norway. It was in Shanghai that he discovered his passion for photography in late 2017 when he was gifted a point-and-shoot film camera by a friend. Duy started off documenting the nightlife of Shanghai but has since gone on to explore fashion and fine art photography.
The series “Laundry day” is the story of a young mans journey into the laundry room. Just like many young men, he has no experience here and is quickly lost in the world of fabric and detergents.
